EFLA Conference 'Placing new food products on the market: A comparative analysis of the EU & US approaches’, 28th September 2017

The 5th EFLA EU-US Food Law Conference 'Placing new food products on the market: A comparative analysis of the EU & US approaches’ will be held in Brussels on 28th September 2017 from 9:30am to 5pm.

PROGRAMME
The Conference will start at 9:30am (coffee from 9am) and will finish at 5pm on Thursday 28th September.

Confirmed speakers include Mr. Rafael Perez Berbejal (DG SANTE, European Commission), who will present the EU Novel Foods legislation and its implementation, and Mrs. Diane McColl (Hyman, Phelps & McNamara), who will explain the FDA approach to novel foods in the United States. Mr. Nicolas Carbonelle (Bird & Bird), will present some insights into the EU regulatory aspects of personalised nutrition, with Mr. Ricardo Carvajal (Hyman, Phelps & McNamara) presenting the FDA approach and Ms. Francisca Serra (University of the Balearic Islands) providing the scientific background to the concept of personalised nutrition.

There will also be presentations on the global approach to regulation and marketing of foods for children.
